Catalog description

Introduces the fundamental concepts necessary for the entry-level physical therapist to examine, evaluate, and treat the pediatric client. Lecture and lab experiences emphasize a problem-oriented approach to physical therapy management of children with musculoskeletal, neurological, and/or cardiopulmonary impairments. Students will learn to recognize normal and abnormal development, particularly during the first year of life and during significant transitions as children with disabilities become adults.
