Catalog description

Theory and principles of physical therapy modalities. This is a lecture and laboratory course designed to instruct students in the physics and physiological effects of physiological therapeutics and their modalities. Students learn through lectures and laboratory sessions essential skills for patient management in clinical practice. Examples of these skills include selecting and using deep thermal, electrodiagnostic, electrotherapeutic, and mechanical modalities (including massage) for various impairments and functional limitations.
