Evidence Based Practice I

Catalog description

The first of a two -course sequence covering principles of critical inquiry and application of evidence-based practice. Emphasis is placed on the student’s ability to formulate relevant clinical questions, develop search strategies, and critically review professional literature to inform clinical decision-making. Content in this semester will focus on the application of reliability and validity principles, statistics to assess predictive relationships, and observational designs for the study of prognosis, diagnostic accuracy, and clinical prediction rules.
