Research Methods for Healthcare Professionals

Catalog description

This course is designed to support the DPA Capstone Doctoral Project. The course focuses on research methodology used in the field of medicine with a focus on a systematic approach. In this course, students will develop concrete analytical tools to assess and critique medical literature. Students will develop research skills such as development of clinical questions, understanding and critique of study methodology, data collection, analysis, and interpretation. The DPA student is introduced to the utilization of quantitative reasoning, and statistical analysis as applicable to performing scientific investigations in contemporary medicine.
