Catalog description

The Cardiopulmonary System 1 course includes the normal structure and function of the respiratory system, as well as cardiovascular system development, anatomy, and function. The cardiac cycle and physiological basis of the heartbeat, cardiac conducting sy stem, and ECGs are detailed. Respiratory mechanics, gas exchange, lung function testing, and the acid -base balance relationship to respiratory function are among the topics presented. Clinical case discussions are based on pathophysiological changes that arise in the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems.
