Medical Spanish for Health Professionals I (Elective)

Catalog description

This course focuses on language used in medical encounters and cultural situations that PAs may experience in practice. Students will gain knowledge of medical Spanish terms, cultural aspects of medicine, and confidence in using both spoken and written Spanish. The first course in the series will primarily focus on gathering a history and performing a physical examination. Pediatric considerations will be discussed. Case -based coursework will be sequenced with the corresponding PA curriculum.
