See course description for Osteopathic Doctoring 1. Each Osteopathic Doctoring course builds on the skills and knowledge that was learned in the prior course, incorporating and reinforcing material that is learned in the Integrated Systems & Osteopathic Principles and Practices courses. Third and Fourth Years The clinical curriculum provides students with education and training in the areas of family medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics & gynecology, pediatrics, psychiatry, and surgery; as well as exposure to additional specialty areas such as critical care, emergency medicine, osteopathic neuromusculoskeletal medicine, telemedicine, and any specialty students desire to explore especially during year 4. The curriculum is designed to give students the opportunity to pursue individual interests and decide on options for residency training. Rotations take place at various clinical sites, ranging from private, public, and university-based hospitals to private and community-based clinics. Detailed course descriptions and rotation information may be found in the Clinical Rotations Manual (CRM).
