Catalog description

This course examines the management of special populations that influence the health of individuals throughout the lifespan. Students will utilize the DSM-5-TR to analyze complex conditions and their effects on individuals. Treatment strategies will be identified to address these conditions and ensure effective care delivery for positive mental health outcomes. The course will also explore psychiatric emergencies and complexities, with a focus on safety, harm reduction, and high-risk care.
