Management of Chronic Behavioral Health Disorders Across the Lifespan

This course examines the management of chronic behavioral health disorders that affect individuals' health throughout the lifespan. Students will build on their knowledge of the DSM-5-TR, refining their skills in formulating differential diagnoses to guide effective treatment for individuals with chronic mental health conditions. The course will also focus on the use of evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches, including pharmacological treatments and appropriate therapies, to foster positive outcomes across the lifespan. A continued emphasis will be placed on the significance of collaboration and cultural competence in treatment to enhance patient engagement and improve outcomes.
