Catalog description

This course introduces graduate students to professional issues and standards related to the discipline of Speech-Language Pathology, including scope of practice, ethics, and cultural and linguistic diversity. General principles of clinical observation, assessment, establishment of treatment goals, report writing, documentation, and service delivery in various facilities, including educational and medical settings, are emphasized. This course also includes a workshop on personal identity, social identity, diversity, and cultural competence.
