Catalog description

The study of the sounds of the English language and its application to speech correction. Introduces the student to basic anatomy and physiology of the speech mechanism. Identification of acoustic properties of speech sounds and their phonetic application. Instruction in reading and transcribing the International Phonetic Alphabet of American English patterns.
