Catalog description

This first course of a three-semester course sequence taken during the first full-year of supervised clinical work. An educational experience that allows students to develop a professional identity and translate the knowledge and theory of clinical science into practical clinical skills while they provide direct assessment, consultation, and treatment services to children, adolescents, families, and/or adults in community-based externship placements. In this course, students receive case consultation with an emphasis on discussion of professional roles, responsibilities, ethical issues, clinical quandaries, and problems that are faced during student externship experiences.
