Developmental Psychology Across the Life Span

This course examines how developmental pathways are shaped by the interaction of biological (e.g., genetics) and environmental factors. Various theoretical frameworks for the study of development are explored, with an eye toward those that have received empirical support. Particular attention is paid to the ways that developmental processes are similar and dissimilar across various socio-cultural groups, and to the clinical implications of such processes.
