Self Care I

Catalog description

This course introduces students to the skills required to practice in an outpatient pharmacy setting and focuses on commonly encountered self-limiting conditions. Students will be able to identify appropriate therapies and provide effective patient education on drug dosing, adherence, administration techniques, anticipated adverse effects, potential drug interactions and follow up procedures of over the counter (OTC) medications and dietary supplements based on inclusion and exclusion self-care criteria.
