Foundations of Ambulatory Care

Catalog description

This elective course provides a comprehensive approach to concepts of ambulatory care including the various pharmacy models and standards within this specialty area. Students gain further experience in patient counseling and receive hands-on skills training focused on chronic disease states and situations most likely to be encountered within the community setting. This advanced approach provides students with further instruction in analyzing and interpreting self-monitoring parameters while assessing the overall health status of patients to identify the need for monitoring and intervention.
