Physical Assessment

Catalog description

This course will introduce pharmacy students to the elements of basic head-to-toe exam techniques including physical, behavioral and psychological assessment to optimize patient care. The students will develop a thorough understanding of the patients’ health status through a comprehensive assessment strategy that includes health promotion and illness prevention. The course will incorporate the selection and interpretation of screening and diagnostic testing in order to formulate differential diagnosis through hands-on skill practice.
