Podopediatrics II

Catalog description
Podopediatrics II is an advanced course which emphasizes methods of evaluation, assessment and treatment of lower extremity pathology in the pediatric patient. The course reviews the developmental levels of the normal child and discusses, in detail, the medical, orthopedic and neurologic disorders affecting the child’s lower extremity. Abnormalities of gait are discussed as well. Management plans for pediatric lower extremity conditions will be included. The course will be given in conjunction with the Podopediatrics Clerkship in a block format to enhance student learning and understanding of concepts presented in this didactic course. Prerequisite: PEDP 624
