Catalog description

In this course, the microscopic and ultra-structural features of cells, tissues, organs and organ systems are taught in both lecture and laboratory sessions. The structural organization of the body is related to the functional histophysiology of the different organs. This course of study provides the student with an understanding of cell and organ function and gives a firm foundation for more advanced coursework in the curriculum, particularly pathology and pathophysiology.
