Advanced Topics in Immunology

Catalog description

This course builds upon basic immunological principles to explore advanced concepts, including immunological memory and vaccination, subversions of the immune system by pathogens, hypersensitivity reactions, autoimmune diseases, organ and tissue transplants, and cancer immunology. Emphasis is placed on therapeutic drug interventions related to these scenarios, and major goals are to foster communication and generate discussion on public health topics relevant to immunology.
