Catalog description

(Only for students enrolled at the Middletown campus)The normal anatomy and physiology of the female reproductive system is reviewed. The student is taught how to perform an obstetrical history and physical, the process and management of normal pregnancy, labor, and delivery, and their associated complications. Clinical manifestations and treatment of common gynecological problems such as venereal diseases, menstrual disorders, and neoplasms are also discussed. Patient education is stressed as a crucial part of the management plan.
