Catalog description
Core graduate finance course covering various principles of time value and risk from the perspective of financial institutions, then contrasting with and augmenting across the broader industrial sectors. Financial institution structure, regulatory challenges, risk and portfolio management will be explored, along with balance sheet allocation and investment diversification for optimizing company resources. Students will learn how the financial services industry operates, using both the differences and commonalities with industrial corporations in managing financial issues to achieve optimal performance.
