Catalog description

This course examines development of the concept of products liability; industry’s responsibilities and protections; and consumers’ remedies. Topics covered include the risks and benefits posed by various products; civil actions for harm resulting from defective and dangerous products, with reference to parties and proof in negligence, warranty, nuisance, misrepresentation, and strict liability; and current legislation dealing with injuries and remedies in specific product areas.
