Catalog description

This course explores the historical and contemporary intersection of race, racism, and law. The course examines the legal system's role in creating and perpetuating systems and structures based on race and racial hierarchies, as well as the law as an agent of social change. This course may, with prior approval of the professor, satisfy the Advanced Writing requirement.
