This course provides a detailed look at the impact of computers and the Internet on different aspects of criminal law and practice. Topics include jurisdiction; cybercrime laws and enforcement; malicious hacking; virus creation and distribution; traditional crimes (fraud, theft) utilizing computers and networks; and fourth amendment cyber-related issues.
