Catalog description

This course will educate students on how the law can be used to define and defend against hate while allowing for legitimate discourse and disagreement to flourish, using the prism of antisemitism to delineate what is and is not protected speech, and when merely offensive behavior crosses over into harassment or invidious discrimination. While the course will focus on anti-Jewish hate, the principles that will be covered are of universal importance and applicability.
