In a context that simulates actual practice, this seminar details the pre-trial steps in litigation. Students develop litigation strategies, then apply the substantive and procedural law. The impact of the rules of evidence on the pre-trial stage is also considered. Students draft pleadings, discovery requests, and motion papers, and practice taking and defending depositions.
