Trusts & Estates Practice Module

Catalog description

The practice module introduces students to the skills of interviewing, counseling, negotiation, and drafting, by using problems based on the substantive law of trusts, wills, and estates. In simulations, students may interview witnesses in a will contest, conduct direct and cross examination in a will construction proceeding, and prepare the necessary papers for a probate proceeding. Students will also counsel clients on an estate plan and draft the documents including a will, trusts, and advance directives that incorporate the estate plan.
