Catalog description

United States diplomacy and foreign policy making in the 20th and 21st centuries, with major emphasis on post-Cold War and post-9/11 events. The role of the United States in world affairs is analyzed against the background of shifting centers of power, with special attention paid to East Asia and the Middle East. Students will also consider the influence of both governmental and non-governmental forces in the making of U.S. foreign policy.
