The course focuses on intensive post-developmental reading and writing, leading to confidence and proficiency in the composition of five-paragraph expository essays utilizing the following rhetorical patterns: definition; classification; exemplification; cause/effect. Correct grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, and word choice will be taught in conjunction with writing.
