Catalog description

Seminar on the identification and reporting of, and the treatment for. individuals and families affected by domestic violence; historical, economic, and socio-political impacts of domestic violence; understanding unique needs of those victimized by domestic violence, understanding duties, roles and counselor responsibilities to such needs, and how to motivate and plan for clients' successful and positive outcomes. Case presentations are current with Federal and local laws, state regulations, and treatment modalities within the various concentration areas within the Human Services Department. Current literature, resources, and local programming information shared with participant at conclusion.
