Catalog description

The goal of this course is to acquaint students with the basic elements of the musical language (melody, harmony, musical form, etc.), basic musical genres (symphony, opera, concerto, etc.), and give them a panoramic view of the performing arts (pianists/conductors/singers/dancers). Listening to live and recorded music performances will develop the skills that enhance music appreciation. Biographical and descriptive materials are also included.
