Long Term Care Practice

Catalog description

An opportunity for students to develop skills in a pharmacy specializing in long-term care and adult care therapy management. Coverage includes pharmacy practice regulations and standards required by Federal, State, The Joint Commission (TJC), and/or other public and private agencies; analyzing patient charts and reviewing histories to ensure medication safety; interpreting and preparing prescription compounds; and providing medication safety information and programs to other health care professionals.
