The Practicum Seminar PreK-12 in TESOL provides participants with a practical and transformative learning experience in the Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) field. Integrating clinical experiences, advanced seminars, and reflective exercises, candidates will bridge theoretical knowledge through authentic experiences and reflection. Candidates are expected to develop a comprehensive ePortfolio based on their prior course work, showcasing their growth and professional competencies. Certified teachers, leveraging their existing experiences, are exempt from observation and practicum hours. Active participation in discussions is one of the key components of the Practicum Seminar, fostering a collaborative learning environment and peer-to-peer network. The Practicum Seminar includes three mandatory seminars, emphasizing practical skills, pedagogical insights, and a reflective mindset essential for success in the fluid TESOL field.
