CST Students with Disabilities Workshop

This seminar prepares teacher candidates for the Students with Disabilities Content Specialty Test (CST) required for certification in New York State and is aligned to the exam competencies: (1) Foundations of Special Education, (2) Knowledge of Students with Disabilities, (3) Assessment and Individual Program Planning, (4) Strategies for Planning and Managing the Learning Environment and for Providing Behavioral Interventions, (5) Instructional Planning and Delivery to Promote Students’ Success in the General Curriculum, (6) Strategies for Teaching Communication, Social, and Functional Living Skills, and (7) Analysis, Synthesis, and Application. The seminar emphasizes test-taking strategies, analysis of sample questions, and constructed response writing to support candidate success on the CST.
