Catalog description

Promotes the importance of professional participation and service. Through participation in professional activities, students are familiarized with the organization of the physical therapy profession and how the governance of physical therapy practice and education affects physical therapists and the care of their patients. The student and the course coordinator customize and conduct the professional experience as an independent study. Every student in the Post-Professional DPT Program is required to be a member in good standing of the American Physical Therapy Association (or other professional PT association) and must attend two professional physical therapy meetings.
