Catalog description

This course is the second semester of a two-semester sequence and is a sequel to CPPN 105. The principles of Classical and Modern physics are presented using methods of Calculus as appropriate. Topics include mechanical oscillations, simple harmonic motion, static electricity, electric and magnetic fields, electromagnetic radiation, geometrical and physical optics, electromagnetic waves, introductory quantum mechanics, and nuclear physics. Laboratory experiments will be performed by the students to reinforce the principles taught.
