Intro to Illustration in Fine Arts

Catalog description

An introduction to the professional field of illustration. Instruction will focus on principal areas within the field (Medical Illustration, Editorial, Children’s Book Illustration, Instructional Illustration and Fashion), its history, career aspects, and current trends. Students will explore and apply a variety of media and hand-rendered illustration techniques in line, tone, and color in the development of personal style. Museum and gallery visits are part of the course.
