This course is primarily designed to teach the student how to recognize and manage patients with systemic diseases or abnormalities which directly or indirectly affect the oral and maxillofacial tissues, or necessitate modification of dental treatment, and/or the initiation special precautions to ensure the safe dental treatment of the patient.
