Catalog description

(FIRST SEMESTER) This course consists of comprehensive video lectures and clinical correlations that focuses on the mechanistic basis of drug action at each tissue or cellular site on behalf of disease resolution and restoration of normal physiological function. The course is organized according to organ system and therapeutic use, mechanism of action, and side effects of each drug or drug class. Upon completion of the course, students are expected to predict safe and effective pharmacological treatment for specific disease processes across the major organ systems.
