It is intended in this course to utilize the basic organizational principles of the nervous system as a framework upon which to build knowledge of its structural details. Structure and function are inseparable in the study of the nervous system. Therefore, emphasis will be placed on the link between neuroanatomical material presented in lectures and specific known functions of the nervous system.
