Catalog description
This is an introductory course emphasizing the appreciation of the visual arts through the study of the art and architecture of various geographical areas and cultures throughout history from antiquity through contemporary artist. A select number of significant artists, artistic movements, and cultures are covered. The course examines how art reflects and influences cultures throughout history. Lecture 3 hours per week.
