MU 3041. Woodwind Techniques. This course develops performance and pedagogical skills for teaching woodwind instruments in school band programs. Students demonstrate correct playing techniques on all woodwind instruments, learn to diagnose and correct common technical problems, and apply knowledge of instrument selection, equipment, tuning tendencies, and developmental strategies for beginning and advancing students. Two laboratory hours a week. Credit: One hour.
