MU 1422. Professional Foundations in Music Therapy II. Professional requirements and dispositions of an ethical and competent music therapist. Focus on phases of the music therapy process, music and non-music-based assessment, data collection techniques, and ethical decision-making models. Peer and professional relationships, professional writing, and resources for music therapy research. Elements of clinical documentation, annotation of interventions, and sequence of events in music therapy sessions. Prerequisite: MU 1412 . One lecture and two laboratory hours a week. Credit: Two hours.
