MU 1071. Musician's MAPP: Movement Applications for Practice and Performance. Exploration of musical understanding and expression through active and purposeful movement. Musical engagement of the body as an active tool for learning and performance. Development of awareness of both large full-body motion and refined small motor movement. Application of movement-based strategies and improvisation to musical practice and performance. Prerequisite: Music Major. Two laboratory hours a week. Credit: One hour.
