DNCE 4243. Children's Dance. Study of pedagogical approaches and instructional practices for teaching dance to children. Emphasizes developmentally appropriate movement experiences, lesson planning, teaching practice, classroom management, and assessment of student learning. Includes observation, reflective analysis, and the design and implementation of children's dance instruction aligned with dance education standards. Three lecture hours a week. Credit: Three hours.
