SPAN 4173. Medical Translation and Interpreting I. Medical translation and interpreting in a palliative hospital setting. National standards and ethics of practice for medical interpreting. Requirements to become medical interpreters in the state of Texas. Prerequisite: SPAN 2043 or SPAN 2313 . Three lecture hours a week. Credit: Three hours.
