SOCI 3193. Latinxs in the United States. Sociological analysis of the contemporary and historical experiences, heritage, and contributions of Latinxs in the United States. Uses sociological-historical analysis, gendered analysis, social theory and research to study the U.S. Latinx population by national origin groups (e.g., Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Salvadoran, Peruvian, and others). Three lecture hours a week. Credit: Three hours.
