SOCI 3083. Demography. Population theories, the use and interpretation of demographic data, population change and policy, relationships between population, and socioeconomic factors. Emphasizes demographic processes and compositions in age, sex, residence, race/ethnicity, socioeconomic status of U.S., and world populations. Satisfies Global Perspectives graduation requirement. Three lecture hours a week. Credit: Three hours.
