PSY 3163. Introduction to Behavior Therapy. An introduction to the principles and techniques of behavior therapy, with attention to theoretical foundations and research applications in both normal and clinical populations. Students examine core behavioral and cognitive-behavioral methods, the design of treatment plans, and the evaluation of therapeutic outcomes. Emphasis is placed on understanding evidence-based interventions, assessing their effectiveness, and critically evaluating their use in applied settings. Prerequisites: PSY 1013 with a grade of C or higher and psychology major/minor/entry or B.S. in M.D.S, or permission of departmental advisor. Co-requisite: PSY 3161 . Three lecture hours a week. Credit: Three hours.
