A study of Western political theory from the Renaissance to the present with particular emphasis on the development of contemporary ideologies: liberalism, socialism, nationalism, Marxism, fascism. Prerequisites: Three hours of political science or permission of instructor or head of department. Three lecture hours a week. Credit: Three hours.
